Biography
Gabriel Macht, born Gabriel Swann Macht, was raised in California from the age of five. He attended Beverly Hills High School and later studied theater at the Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts, graduating in 1994. Macht began his acting career at a young age, making his screen debut in the 1980 film “Why Would I Lie?”, for which he was nominated for the Best Young Motion Picture Actor Award.
Macht’s most notable role is that of Harvey Specter in the USA Network legal drama series “Suits”, which ran from 2011 to 2019 for nine seasons. He also played the title role in Frank Miller’s 2008 adaptation of “The Spirit” and appeared in critically acclaimed films such as “The Good Shepherd” and “Love & Other Drugs”. Macht’s other notable works include “Behind Enemy Lines”, “The Others”, and “The Audrey Hepburn Story”.
Throughout his career, Macht has demonstrated his versatility as an actor, taking on both dramatic and comedic roles. He has also been involved with the Mad Dog Theater Company in New York and has performed in several off-Broadway productions.
